Missouri’s softball future took a big hit recently when team ace pitcher Paige Lowary announced on her Twitter page that she’s leaving to become a Oklahoma Sooner.
Lowary had posted a 25-8 record with an ERA of 3.22 in her sophomore season. She struck out 315 with 181 walks while holding opponents to a low .244 batting average. She’s gonna be a hard arm for the team to replace.
The Missouri softball program has been in some turmoil since coach Ehren Earleywine came under investigation after some of the team’s players filed complaints to the school’s athletics department over coach E’s coaching style.
