Super Regionals Results

I’ve been watching a lot of softball lately and with the super regionals round now over here’s my wrap up of what I seen.

Georgia went to #1 Florida’s home stadium and handed them a 2 game sweep of their series. Georgia made a real statement of needing to be taken serious in this year’s WCWS.

The other Florida team, ACC’s Florida State took care of business and beat Utah to also move on to Oklahoma.

I haven’t gotten to see much of these West Coast Pac-12 powerhouses, UCLA or Oregon, play much this year. But I got to watch all three of their games this past weekend. The series started off with Oregon crushing UCLA in a 8-1 win. But UCLA made adjustments and came back to win the next two games needed to eliminate Oregon and move on to Oklahoma.

After losing the first game in their series Auburn came to life and took care of business against Arizona winning back to back games to punch their ticket to Oklahoma.

Host WCWS team Oklahoma looked impressive too as they swept Louisiana–Lafayette to keep their dream of a National Championship alive for this year.

Alabama took care of business defeating Washington to move on thanks to the strong arm of Alexis Osorio.

The Dukes of James Madison looked in good shape as they opened their series with a win against LSU but the experience of LSU took over as they won the next two games in a row to move ahead in the tournament and our headed also for Oklahoma.

The team that disappointed me the most in the Super Regional was Missouri in their series against Michigan. In the regional round the team looked strong and played like a team on a mission but in their super regional games against Michigan they made so many fielding mistakes and never got on track including blowing a big lead in their second must win game against Michigan.

I done pretty good in picking game winners in the super regional round going 6-2.
