In a 3 game performance that can only be described as outstanding the Missouri softball team will be the first team to advance from the 2016 regionals to the super regionals round where they’ll face off against the winner from the Michigan regionals.
Not only did Missouri win the three games needed to advance the team won all of them in run rule shortened games outscoring their opponents, 26-0. Pitching in all three games and taking the victories was team ace Paige Lowary.
This team has rallied around their coach who has been under investigation for several months now. I’m not sure what the whole story is but I think it’s something to do with a few players feeling they weren’t treated right. From what I’ve heard team head coach Ehren Earleywine is an old school coach that some people can’t handle in this PC correct world. His team has written a letter to the school’s AD (Athletic Director) in support of him.
If the team keeps playing like they did this weekend they might have a nice long run in the tournament.
